For the first time ever, four women will take to the ring in the July series of the Resorts World Sentosa Martial Combat championship, upping the entertainment ante for mixed martial arts enthusiasts, and no, this will not be the run-of-the-mill cat fight.
Resorts World® Sentosa Martial Combat is the region's biggest mixed martial arts event, and is the counterpart to the hugely popular US-based Ultimate Fighting Championship. It is another example of the diverse entertainment offerings at Singapore's first integrated resort.
Besides watching Sun Jiao, Claire Haigh, Gina Iniong and Yang Xiao Nan in action, MMA fans will be delighted to hear that UFC veteran Ray Elbe finally takes the stage at Martial Combat, in the main event on July 15th.
Presented by Resorts World® Sentosa (RWS) and leading sports broadcaster ESPN Star Sports (ESS), the championship fights will be Asia's largest Mixed Martial Arts broadcast, receiving an unprecedented amount of television coverage in 24 different territories across the region through ESS. This sporting event is expected to give another boost to Singapore's credentials as the 2nd ultimate sporting city.
